Common Household Products You Should NEVER Mix With Bleach

Common Household Products You Should NEVER Mix With Bleach

by Marissa Maguire / Tuesday, 12 May 2020 / Published in Blog

With Coronavirus wiping out shelves of cleaning supplies, it is important to know what can cause more harm than good while trying to keep your family safe.

Here are some dangerous combinations:

Bleach + Vinegar = Chlorine Gas

Bleach + Ammonia = Chloramine Vapors

Bleach + Rubbing Alchohol = Chloroform

When used correctly, bleach is a safe way to disinfect your home. Please see the CDC guidelines for safe use and mixing proportions here: CDC.gov

We recommend following all manufacturers’ guidelines when using a cleaner or disinfectant. You can find more information from the EPA about safe disinfectant use here: EPA.gov
